- Funeral services were held Monday at St. Marys church at Hilbert for Mrs. Anton Seichter, 78. Mrs. Seichter died suddenly Thursday in Chilton at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roland Woelfel.
She had felt ill at her home early Thursday afternoon and called her daughter, who took her to her home in Chilton. She died about a half-hour after reaching there. Death was caused by a heart ailment.
Born Regina Schlenk, Feb. 3, 1875 in Waukesha county, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Schlenk. She was married to Mr. Seichter on Oct. 30, 1907 at Elm Grove, and settled with her husband in the village of Hilbert where he was a rural mail carrier. Mr. Seichter died several years ago.
She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Mary Catholic Church, Hilbert. Upon her late husbands death she completed his unexpired term as village treasurer of Hilbert.
Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Woelfel, two sisters, Misses Anna and Hildegarde Schlenk of Calhoun, Wis., and two grandchildren.
