Donald H. Hietpas 'Don' 1200 Harding Ave., Little Chute, age 64, went to his eternal rest in the arms of his family after a 8 week battle with cancer. So brave he was for all of us. He was born January 14, 1927 to John and Elizabeth (Vanden Heuvel) Hietpas in Little Chute. He married Dorothy Bootz on October 15, 1949. His great pride was his self owned business, Donald Hietpas and Sons Inc., which was founded in 1969. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, who is an inspiration to all of us for her devotion to him. He is further survived by four sons and a daughter, our hearts can never be mended, our lives will change forever. Steve and Jessica (Reynebeau) Hietpas, Stuart and Patty (Keough) Hietpas, Scott and Robin (Ziegler) Hietpas, Pat and Cheryl (Hermus) Hietpas, Susie and Chuck Van Handel, all of Little Chute; his parents; John and Elizabeth Hietpas, Little Chute; he will be forever missed by his 19 grandchildren who he loved more than life itself; Peter, Anne, Charlie, Joy, Heidi, and Sam Hietpas; Jay, Brad, Trisha, Patrick Hietpas; Rachel, Donnie 'his name sake', and Rebecca Hietpas; Katie, Matthew and Jacob Hietpas; Tyler, Ted and Anna Van Handel; he was the oldest of 14 children; Helen and Russ Hermon, Aiken, South Carolina; Joyce and Emmett McMorrow, Kaukauna; Sheila and Clyde Schepp, Little Chute; Clare and Lee Van Boxtel, Little Chute; June Stuyvenberg, Appleton; Margaret and Carl Peters, Little Chute; Claude and Lois Hietpas, Middleton; John and Shirley, Little Chute; Luke and Molly Hietpas, Little Chute; Mark and Linda Hietpas, Little Chute; Tom and Sheila Hietpas, Little Chute; Mike and Jo Hietpas, Little Chute; a brother in-law; Tom and Maggie Bootz, Appleton; a sister in-law, Harriet and Gene Brock, Kimberly.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother Matthew.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday from St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute with the Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at St. John's Catholic Church 3 p.m Tuesday until the time of services. The Verkuilen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Man with a heart of gold, his generosity and kindness have touched so many lives. If hes taught us anything let it be kindness. We'll miss him so. May God grant eternal peace to him until we meet again. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. John's food pantry.
