      Aged Union Woman Dead
      FAIRLAND -- Mrs. Mary Charles, 89, Town of Union, died at 8:45 Sunday evening at her home after being a bedridden invalid for 11 months.
      She was the former Mary Piette and was born May 15, 1868, in the Town of Brussels. She married Martin Charles about 58 years ago and he died Mar. 20, 1934. Mrs. Charles had lived on the same farm in Union since her marriage. She was a member at the Altar Society of St. Mary of the Snow Catholic church.
      The survivors are a son, Telesphore Charles, on the home farm in Union; a stepson, Eugene, Gladstone, Mich.; three step daughters, Miss. Ferdinanda Charles, Green Bay; Mrs. Rose Delvaux, Cornell, Mich.; and Gertrude, State of Texas, and seven grandchildren. A daughter died two months ago.
      This Thursday morning the casket was taken from the Wiesner-Massart Funeral home to St. Mary of the Snow Catholic church, where the Rev. Urban DeCleene officiated at 10 o'clock requiem rites. Burial in the parish cemetery.
