    • Martin Joosten of Rudolph Dies
      Prominent Citizen of County Passes Away this Morning
      Funeral will be Saturday

      June 24, 1925

      Martin Joosten, 50, for the past 20 years a resident in the town of Rudolph, died at 6:40 o'clock this morning. He had been ill since Monday noon when overheated while at work.

      Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock from the home in the town of Rudolph, and at 9:30 a.m. from the St. Philomena's church, the Rev. Fr. Philip Wagner officiating. Burial will be made at Rudolph.

      Mr. Joosten had been a prominent and active citizen of the town of Rudolph for many years. He was a trustee of the St. Philomena Church, and was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. He was also a member of the Rudolph town board.

      Besides his wife, six children, Mrs. Leo Van Asten, Joe Joosten, Mrs. Anton Kempen, all of the town of Rudolph, and William, Richard and George, living at home, survive. The following four sisters also survive: Mrs. William Weyenberg, Appleton; Mrs. A. Verhagen, Chili; Mrs. Walter Van Dyke, Forest Grove, Ore.; and Mrs. Corneil Hermans, Meminville, Ore.
