      Mrs. Martin Joosten

      Mrs. Martin Joosten, 78, Rudolph, formerly of Little Chute, died Thursday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leo Van Asten at Rudolph.

      Funeral services will be conducted at 9 o'clock Momday morning at St. Philip Church, Rudolph, and burial will be in the parish cemetery.

      She was born in Little Chute July 2, 1872 and had been a resident of Rudolph for about 46 years.

      The survivors are three sons, Joseph and Richard, Chicago, George, Wisconsin Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Leo Van Asten and Mrs. Anton Kempen, Rudolph; one sister, Mrs. Frank Vander Velden, Kimberly; 24 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

      She was also a charter member of the women's Catholic Order of Foresters and was a member of the Ladies Aid society of St. Philip's Church.

      Death Takes Mrs. Martin Joosten, Sr., 77, Rudolph

      Mrs. Martin Joosten, Sr., 77, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leo Van Asten, Rudolph, at 7:15 this morning following a heart attack. She had been a resident of the community the past 45 years.

      Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Monday morning at St. Philip's Catholic church in Rudolph with the Rev. P. J. Wagner officiating. Interment is to take place in the parish cemetery.

      Mrs. Joosten, whose maiden name was Anna Van Domelen, was born in Oconto, Wis., on July 2, 1872, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Van Domelen. She married Martin Joosten in Little Chute on September 21, 1897, and there were eight children, three preceding the mother in death. Mr. Joosten died June 24, 1925.

      Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Leo Van Asten and Mrs. Anton Kempen, Rudolph; three sons, Joseph, Harvard, Ill.; Richard, Mc Henry, Ill, and George, Wisconsin Rapids; one sister, Mrs. Frank VanderVelden, Kimberly; 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

      Mrs. Joosten was a member of St. Ann's Altar society, the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters and St. Philomena's Ladies' aid.

      Friends may pay their respects at the Leo Van Asten home from Friday afternoon until time of services. Prayers will be said each evening at 8 o'clock at the church. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Krohn and Berard.
