- A funeral for Henry Edward Delplanche of Aloha will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church in Hillsboro. He died in a Hillsboro hospital Saturday of complications from thrombocytosis. He was 81.
Mr. Delplanche was born on Jan. 21, 1910, in Roy, and went to school in Verboort. He later lived in Montana and moved to Aloha in 1954. He had worked as a logger in Montana, in the Portland shipyards, for Hap Oslant Construction and as a self-employed excavator.
He was a member of the St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Beaverton and the Hillsboro Elks Lodge.
His wife, Margaret, preceded him in death.
Surviving are daughters, Nancy Delplanche of Palm Desert, Calif., and Betty Darby-Carsley of Newberg; brothers, Lawrence, Elmer and David, all of Roy, and the Rev. William Delplanche of Portland; a sister, Dorothy Vandecoevering of North Plains; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Portland.
