Weyenberg, Jackie V.
Jackie Weyenberg, 78, Neenah, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, after a brief battle with ALS. She was born March 5, 1932, in Gueydan, Louisiana, daughter of Muriel and Agnes (Potier) Viator. Jackie married Roger M. Weyenberg May 29, 1954, in New York City. Mrs. Weyenberg was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, traveling and camping with her family. Jackie also enjoyed collecting angels, bells and Boyd's Bears. Roger and Jackie were "winter Texans" for the past 18 years. Jackie loved to watch her grandchildren compete in various sports.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Roger; three children: Lynne (Gene) Darkow, Neenah; Mark (Patty) Weyenberg, Wrightstown; Sharon (Paul) Bellin, Neenah; seven grandchildren: Jake, Luke, Sam and Elizabeth Darkow; Karl, Joe and Kate Weyenberg; a sister, Barbara Cahill, Melbourne, Florida; two brothers-in-law: Berney LeBlanc, Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; Ron Weyenberg and special friend Sandy Scheibe, Kaukauna; a sister-in-law, Janet Linskens, Appleton; a former sister-in-law, Alice Weyenberg, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Eugene Viator; sisters: Yolande Manier and Frances LeBlanc; brothers-in-law: Joe Manier and Robert Linskens.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2010, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah, with Fr. Robert Vandenberg officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. Monday at the church until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Theda Care at Home Hospice.
The family of Jackie would like to thank Dr. G. Larson and the caring nurses and staff of the 2nd floor of Theda Clark. Special thanks to Lou, Dottie, Jennifer, Jim, Sarah, Joe, Jessica, Sharry, Ann, Kathe, Toni, Mary, Linda, Jean Marie, Christine and others at Theda Care at Home Hospice for the loving, compassionate care given to Jackie.
