Klister, Vera "Beep" (Coonen)
Peacefully and with great faith, Beep joined hands with her Father in heaven on Saturday, January 19, 2008. Beep was surrounded by the family she loved and blessed with her strength, courage and passion for life. A woman who lived to serve and touch people, Beep was thankful for the many, many family and friends who "were the puzzle pieces in the beautiful picture" of her life. One puzzle piece that will continue to blossom is her dream of Plum Hill, Cafe and Art.
Along with her husband Dave, they have four children: Kiara (Charles) West, Katie, Leah and Greg Klister. Family made her who she was; her parents Jerome and Mary Coonen, her brothers and sisters: Jeanne (Warren) Bristol, Kay (Jim) Cronin, Nancy (Michael) Slattery, Mike (Ellen) Coonen, Pat (Ed) Coonen-Korte, Beth Coonen, Maria (Bill) O'Meara, Jim (Maureen) Coonen, Grace (Dave) Coonen-Pable and Nora (Paul) Virnig. And the Klister family that loved her as daughter, sister and friend. Dave's parents Cyril and Martha Klister, brothers and sisters: Mary (Dave "Moe") Van Zeeland, Barb (Bob) Ludke, Bud (Dee) Klister, John Klister, Karl (Becky) Windinwood and Tina (Dave) Wiedenhaupt.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Albert.
She came from the Coonens,
Mary and Jerome.
Born on December 16, 1952,
Kaukauna was her home.
Taken too young
at the age of fifty-five,
Living her faith and her dreams were for what she did strive.
While cooking she loved,
baking bread was her passion,
Living life in bright colors
with glitter sparkling
her fashion.
Married 32 years to her true
love and best friend Dave,
Made him a better man with
the love that she gave.
Her children are four: Kiara
Greg, Leah and Katie,
An active model of love,
they'll miss her like crazy.
Many sat around her table,
sharing stories and laughter.
To all those who have known
her, let us write
the next chapter.
A special thanks to the nurses and doctors of Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin, for the support and devoted care they gave to Beep and her family. To our family doctor, Paul Russo, who always made himself available. And to all those who have offered prayers and endless support, we thank you more than words can say.
Visitation for friends and family will be held at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna on Wednesday, January 23, from 3 to 7 p.m. followed by a prayer service. A mass to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2008, at 12 p.m. Noon at St. Mary's church, Kaukauna. Prior to the service there will be a visitation at the church starting at 10:30 a.m. A Memorial Fund is set up in her name.
