Notes - Hilbert Nicholas Schomisch, 81, of Hilbert died Thursday morning at St. Elizabeths hospital, Appleton, following a lingering illness. He had been a patient at the hospital for the past two months.
He was born Nov. 4, 1869, in the town of Harrison and was married June 27, 1893 to Catherine Gosz at Sacred Heart church Sherwood. His wife preceded him in death Sept. 25, 1946. He lived on a farm in the town of Harrison for many years and upon leaving the farm lived for some time in Stockbridge and for a few years lived in Hilbert.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Andrew Rogalski of Two Rivers, Mrs. Peter Schmidt of Hilbert, and Mrs. Vincent Reinkober of Chilton; a son, Erwin of Hilbert; two brothers, Andrew of Kiel and Joseph of Appleton; 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at St. Marys Catholic Church, Hilbert. Burial was in the family lot at St. Marys cemetery, Stockbridge.
