- Wilhelmine G. Kokke Alterra Wynwood, Appleton Joined her loving husband in eternity, Sunday, October 1, 2000. She was the daughter of the late Johannes and Gerarda (DeMann) Rutten in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. She married John T.
Kokke in 1935. John and Wilhelmine moved from the Netherlands to Appleton in 1948. Here they built their own business known as the South Side Home Bakery, which they operated until 1963. Wilhelmine was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. She enjoyed music, birds, and flowers. She was most devoted to her immediate family and was happiest spending time with them. She is survived by her four daughters and sons-in-law, Geri and Dr. Thomas Rickert, Neenah, and their children, Lawrence (Kerry) Rickert, Wausau; Dr. Robert Rickert (fiancee Dr. Sandra Titzer), La Jolla, California; Pamela (Michael) Patterson, West Bend; and Nicole (Erik) Mortensen, Madison; Christine and Robert Ulman, Appleton, and their children, Laurie (James) Willimann, New Lenox, Illinois; and John Ulman, San Jose, California; Paula and Richard Hebeler, and their children, Jody (Joseph) Steele, White Lake, Michigan; Jennifer (Jay) Randolph, Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Jeffrey Hebeler, Boulder, Colorado; Yvonne Kokke Bauer and Michael Bauer of Appleton and their children, Erica Bauer and Elizabeth Bauer; ten great-grandchildren; and one brother, Fred Rutten, Weyauwega. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, three sisters and three brothers. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2000, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1617 W. Pine St., Appleton, with the Reverend John Bergstadt officiating.
Entombment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established.
