- Eileen M. Johnson, Kaukauna, age 78, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center, with her family at her side, following a bout with pneumonia. She was born March 6, 1936 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Joseph and Leona (Meulemans) DeBruin. On June 27, 1957 Eileen married James Johnson in Kaukauna, he preceded her in death. Eileen was employed by Piggly Wiggly for 20 years. She liked playing bingo and sheepshead and especially enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Kevin (Terri) Johnson, Combined Locks; her daughter, Debra Johnson (William Bach), Superior; grandchildren: Emily (Tim) Opacich, Daniel St. John, Amanda (Clay) Davis, and Joshua Johnson; great-grandchildren: Aiden and Emma Davis, and Harper Opacich; 1 brother, Floyd (Karen) DeBruin, New London; a sister, Bernice Hahn, Neenah; sisters-in-law, Jean (Sylvester) Biertzer, West Bend and Joan Johnson, Seymour; brothers-in-law: Louis Vosters, California and Dominic Van Eyck, Kaukauna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James, an infant daughter, Eileen Marie; brothers: Marvin and Francis (Carol); a sister, Carol (Doug) Vandenberg; brothers-in-law: Ben Hahn, Robert (Jane) Johnson and Richard Johnson; sisters-in-law: Arlene Van Eyck, Joyce Vosters, Lillian (Stanley) Verstegen, and Betty (Orville) Nieman.
A Memorial Service for Eileen will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2015 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating.
