A rural Cornell woman died today of injuries suffered in the same accident which took the life of her husband.
Mrs. John Capaul, 63, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital here in Chippewa Falls this morning; her husband died Thursday.
The death was the second of the year for Chippewa County.
The fatal accident occurred Monday afternoon at an intersection of County Trunk EE and a town road. The Capaul car, driven by John Capaul, was involved in a collision with one driven by Herbert Sparks, 62, Route 1, Cornell.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Capaul were thrown from the car.
Sparks reportedly escaped serious injury.
Joint funeral services for the Capauls will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning at the Holy Cross Church in Cornell, with Father Peter Minwegan, O. M. I. officiating at the requiem Mass. Interment will be in the Cornell Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Cornell Funeral Home this evening.

Mrs. John Capaul (Minnie M. Vanderloop Capaul), 63, of Cornell passed away Friday, February 1, from injuries received in a car accident, and was born August 2, 1899. She was married to John Capaul at St. Ann's Church in Stanley on May 10, 1921 and they moved to the Cornell area in December 1921.
Funeral services were held at Holy Cross Catholic Church at Cornell on Saturday, February 2, Father Peter Minwegan officiated at the eleven o'clock services and burial was in Cornell.
Surviving are four sons, Raymond and Harold of Cornell, LaVerne of Dubuque, Iowa and Robert of St. Paul; four daughters, Mrs. William (Lucille) Nesvacil, Cadott, Mrs. Colin (Bette) Haagerson, Minneapolis, Mrs. LaVern (Rita) Roth, Cadott and Mrs. Robert (Mary Jane) Hrdlicka, Jim Falls; her mother, Mrs. Mary Vanderloop; two brothers, Wilfred Vanderloop of Fredonia, Wis., and Sylvester of Stanley; three sisters, Mrs. Ray (Mathilda) Brown, Cedarburg, Mrs. Arthur (Agnes) Jacques and Mrs. Henry (Rose) Frese of Thorp; 21 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
