    • Adeline E. Plamann, age 92, of Appleton, passed away August 10, 2013. Daughter of John and Mary (Staudinger) Reimer, Addie was born March 15, 1921 in the Town of Ellington (Greenville). She married Merlin Plamann on June 10, 1947, and he preceded her in death on March 25, 1996.A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Addie loved to cook and bake for her family. Homemade meals were always ready for her husband and boys when they came in from the farm. Her grandchildren knew that there were always cookies in the jar, and she would dance a polka with you in the kitchen while a cake was baking. Prior to marriage she worked at Zwicker Knitting Mills and then dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a long-time member of the Willow Hill Homemakers and TOPS. Addie was a card shark, who played a mean hand of Sheephead and always played to win. She loved to travel with her husband, bowl with her friends and gather her family together around the kitchen table. A long-time member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Appleton, Addie had faith that helped her through challenging times. Her legacy is the strong family she created, who will miss her deeply. She is survived by her children: David (Barbara) Plamann, Hortonville; Larry (Mary Jo) Plamann, Appleton; Roger Plamann, Brooten, MN; and Keith (Gina) Plamann, Appleton.
