      Fritsch, Wayne R.

Wayne R. Fritsch, 66, Waupaca, passed away peacefully at Crystal River Nursing Home, Waupaca, with his family by his side on April 6th, 2010. Wayne was born May 17, 1943, in Menasha, to the late Howard and Olive (Lingnowski) Fritsch. Wayne was a graduate of Menasha High School and later a graduate of the five-year Journeyman Off-Set Platemaker apprenticeship at the George Banta Publishing Company of Menasha, Wisconsin.

Wayne married Jean Erickson in 1963, and they were blessed with three children: Deborah Jean, Barbara Lynn and John Robert. Wayne worked at the Banta Company until 1974 when with his wife, Jean, and their children they went into farming. The first four years on a small farm in the Black Creek area, the next eleven years on a 200-acre dairy farm they owned and operated northwest of Manawa.

In 1989, they left the farm and moved to their present home near Waupaca. Wayne became disabled in 1992 but continued to enjoy visits from family. He lived quietly and survived three battles with cancer over the remaining years of his life.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Gerald, and a granddaughter, Amadea Tooley.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Jean; three children: daughter, Deborah Rambo-Risch (Eric), Mosinee; daughter, Barbara Tooley, Hortonville; son, John Fritsch (Cari) Prairie du Sac; grandchildren: Jason (Crystal) Rambo, Mosinee; Anna and Amy Risch, Mosinee; Travis, Caitlin and Zachary Tooley, Hortonville; Evelyn, Gillian and Griffin Fritsch, Prairie du Sac; sister-in-law, Mary Fritsch, Menasha; three nephews: Jeff (Joelle) Fritsch, Larsen; Michael Fritsch, Rio Rancho, N.M.; and Robert Fritsch, Menasha.

Wayne's family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Dean Hagness and staff at Rice Clinic and Saint Michael's Hospital, Stevens Point; Marshfield Clinic and Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. We also extend our thanks to the staff at Crystal River Nursing Home, Waupaca, Wisconsin. We are forever thankful for the loving care given Wayne as he completed his journey here on Earth.
