- Mrs. Karoline Reetz Nieft, 84, town of Cicero, died about 2 o'clock friday morning at the home of her son, Ernest Nieft, 1522 N. Alvin St. Appleton. She has been confined to her bed at her son's home since the fracture of her hip in a fall about a month ago at her home in the town of Cicero, about three miles north of Black Creek. Mrs. Nieft was born in Kommerin, Germany, Aug. 5, 1850, and came to America when she was 20 Years old. She has lived in the town of Cicero for 64 years. Survivors are four sons, William and Fred of Black Creek; Ernest of Appleton, and John of Oneida, two daughters, Mrs. Henry Schabow and Mrw. William Wolf, Black Creek and a brother Otto Reetz, Appleton, 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at St. John church in Black Creek, with the Rev. W. Joseph Schmidt in charge. Internment will be in the Sassman cemetery, town of Black Creek.
