      Age 78, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Saturday after a long illness. He was born October 7, 1888 in Appleton and had been a lifelong resident. He was one of the co-founders of the International Wire Works and was general manager and served on the Board of directors prior to his retirement in April, 1952. Mr. Abendroth is survived by one sister, Mrs. Edward (Ann) Siefert, Spokane, Wash.; also several nieces and nephews. His wife preceded him in death, September 19, 1966. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Wichmann funeral Home with the Rev. Edward C. Dahl officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday until the hour of the service.
