    • Virginia Rose Arft, age 96, passed away on December 5, 2014 at Bridgewood Nursing and Rehab Center in Neenah. On December 27, 1917, Virginia was born to the late George W. and Mamie R. (Gilsdorf) Wiegand. She was united in marriage to Dan Arft Sr.; he preceded her in death. Virginia had worked for Elwer's Pharmacy in Neenah many years ago. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. In her younger years, one of her favorite things to do outside was golfing. Most of all she was a great cook and taught her family her secrets.

Virginia will be missed by her loving son, David Arft; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Roxanne Arft; and other relatives.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Dan Arft Jr., her granddaughter, Kimberli Arft; her brothers: James Wiegand and Hank Wiegand; her sisters: Dorothy Anderson and Joan Wiegand; and a step-brother, Carly Wiegand.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, December 7, 2014, at Wichmann Funeral Home-Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee Street in Menasha. Visitation will be held from 1:30pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Resthaven Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Bridgewood and Hospice Advantage for the loving care given to Virginia. They would also like to thank the staff at the Laemmrich Chapel for their continued passionate services over the years.
