MILLADORE -- Joseph E. Flick, 78, of the Milladore area died Wednesday evening, Dec. 16, 2009, at his home.
Joe's request was to be cremated and have no services. His cremains will be buried in Union Cemetery, Milladore.
Martens/Rembs Funeral Home of Junction City is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Joseph was born Dec. 17, 1930, in Wisconsin Rapids to William and Lena (Vandenheuval) Flick.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1953.
He then was united in marriage to Lois E. Roach on Oct. 21, 1955, in Junction City.
He worked for several construction companies in Wisconsin Rapids before joining Consolidated Paper Mill in Biron. He retired in February 1993 from Georgia Pacific Paper Mill in Port Edwards.
Joe is survived by his wife, Lois; children, Mike (Maria) Flick of Wisconsin Rapids, Rose (Richard) Lang of Milladore, Merry Muehring of Clearwater, Minn., Marvin (Sharon Pascavis) Flick of Stevens Point and Mark (Wendy) Flick of Milladore; 10 grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Akins of Waukegan, Ill.
