    • Robert Van Zeeland Cleaves St. Old Orchard Beach, Maine, Age 63, died Saturday, January 20, at Southern Maine Medical Center. He was born in Appleton, Wisconsin, on November 22, 1937, a son of Henry and Margaret Biese Van Zeeland and was educated in Kimberly, Wisconsin, schools. He graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
      He married Janet Griffin 42 years ago in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
      Mr. Van Zeeland had been employed as a Human Resource Manager for Nabisco Co. for 15 years, retiring in 1980. Since his retirement, he had done home restoration work. He had come to this area in 1994.
      Mr. Van Zeeland was a member of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church in Beverly, Massachusetts, and St. Margaret's Church in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
      Surviving are his wife, of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; four daughters, Mrs. Andre (Kim) Naniche, London, England; Lynne Schuh, Pasadena, Maryland; Mrs. Thomas (Margaret) Egan, Medford, Maryland; Kathleen Van Zeeland, New York, New York; two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Reider, Kimberly; and Mrs. Dolores Vandenberg, Mesa, Arizona; five grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
      There will be no visiting hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 25, at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church in Beverly, Massachusetts. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to "Make A Wish Foundation of America," 3550 North Central Ave., Suite 300, Phoenix, Arizona 85012.
