Robinson, David J.
David J. Robinson, Kimberly, age 71, died peacefully on, Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at Theda Clark Medical Center, with his wife and children by his side. He was born February 11, 1936, to the late Norman and Marie (Fox) Robinson in Kimberly. David married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Joan Strick, of Kimberly, on August 24, 1957. He retired in 1992 after 39 years of employment with Kimberly Clark in Neenah. David and Joan enjoyed life side-by-side for 50 years at their home in Kimberly and "dream" cottage on North Twin Lake in Phelps, WI. David will be especially remembered for his love of fishing, making fishing jigs, cutting wood, cleaning hickory nuts, and watching sports especially Packers, Cubs and Duke Basketball. But, mostly he will be remembered for the love of his wife, children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joan, Kimberly; three sons: Jon (Jill) Robinson, Appleton and their child Olivia; Joe (Maureen) Robinson, Grayslake, IL and their children Jacob and Matthew; James (Megan) Robinson, Schererville, IN and their children Lily and Sophie; two daughters: Julie (Jeff) Gloudemans, Little Chute and their children Ben and Rob; Jeanne (Mark) Skinner, Kaukauna and their children Trisha and David. David is also survived by a brother, Tom (Jan) Robinson, White Lake, WI; a mother-in-law, Edna Stick, Kimberly; a sister-in-law, Joyce Strick; two brothers-in-law: George (Debbie) Strick and Scott Strick; and many nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his father and mother, Norman and Marie Robinson; his father-in-law, Wilbert Strick; and a brother-in-law, Thomas Strick.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2007, at Holy Spirit Church, Kimberly. Friends will be received on Friday at Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
