      Appleton Man Takes Own Life
      Wilbert Retzlaff, 24, shoots self at his home Thursday night
      Wilbert Retzlaff, 24, 551 N. Story St., took his own life by shooting himself in the chest with a 12 gauge shotgun shortly before 10 o'clock at his home last night. He had been despondent because of ill health, relatived reported.
      Dr. H. E. Ellsworths, County Coroner, and Oscar J. Schmiege, District Attorney, investigated and said there would be no inquest.
      Born at Woodville August 21, 1918, Retzlaff lived at Appleton the last 16 years.
      Survivors are the widow; two children, Gerald and Roger; mother, Mrs. Anna Retzlaff, Appleton; a brother, Leonard, Appleton; and grandmother, Mrs. Johanna Krueger.
      Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Wichmann Funeral Home with the Rev. F. M. Brandt in charge. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery. The body will be at the funeral home from 7 o'clock Saturday evening until the hour of services.
