    • George L. Gerrits, Kaukauna, age 58, died peacefully Wednesday May 21, 2003, at home surrounded by his loving family.
      He was born September 19, 1944, in Kaukauna, son of the late Urban and Selma (Lau) Gerrits. George married the former Marian Biese in 1971; she survives him.
      George is also survived by 3 daughters and 2. sons-in-law: Mary (Kevin) Tepp, Vicki (Jeff) Kerry, Gwen Marquardt; 2 very special grandsons, Charlie and Trent Marquardt; 2 brothers, Urban (Gretchen) Gerrits, Jerome "Mouse" Gerrits; 2 sisters, Jo Ann Mueller, Barb (Dick) De Groot. He is further survived by his wife's family: Maggie (Ray) Coenen, Elaine (Robert) Schmidt, Dorothy (Tim) Vande Wettering, Evelyn (Robert) Verhasselt, Leo (Irene) Biese, Robert (Nora) Biese, numerous nieces and nephews.
      George was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frank and Clara Biese; and a brother-in-law, Lee Mueller. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been est"b1ished in his name.
      The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Geller and his staffand the nurses of4 South at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their ongoing care and concern.
