(nee Clara Arnoldussen)
formerly of Kaukauna and Kimberly
Age 92, died Thursday, March 7, 2002 at the St. Paul Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 3, 1909 to the late Henry and Mary (Diedrich) Arnoldussen. In 1934 she was united in marriage to Frank Biese at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute. He preceded her in death January 19, 1978. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna and a past member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly. She was active in both churches and in the Kimberly Golden Agers.
Clara is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law: Maggie (Ray) Coenen, Little Chute Elaine (Robert) Schmidt, Kaukauna Dorothy (Tim) VandeWettering, Hollandtown Evelyn (Robert) Verhasselt, Freedom Marian (George) Gerrits, Kaukauna two sons and daughters-in-law: Leo (Irene), Darboy Robert (Nora), Hollandtown. Clara is also survived by sisters-in-law: Mildred Arnoldussen, Appleton Mary Biese, Kaukauna a brother-in-law, Gordon Lamers 30 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren sisters and brothers-in-law: Ann (Richard) Peterson, Helen (Sebastian) Hietpas, Mary Lamers brothers and sisters-in-law: Chris (Ceil), Harry, Raymond (Pearl) infant brothers, Joseph and Clarence sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Henry (Catherine) Biese, Peter (Ella) Biese, Mary (Peter) Onkels, Magdalena (Frank) VanCamp, Aloysius Biese.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St.Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Fr. Robert Udulutsch officiating. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call directly at the church from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the St. Paul Home, Kaukauna. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family.
Clara's family would like to thank the Angels at the St. Paul Home for their wonderful care and support.
- She was born September 3, 1909 in Combined Locks, WI. She married Frank Biese on October 9, 1934. She died March 7, 2002 at St. Paul's Home. She is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Kaukauna. After they retired from their farm in 1968, they bought a house in Kimberly. She loved to knit and sew and make crafts. All of her grandchildren received a quilt when they got married.
