    • Leon D. Probst, age 58, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 16, 2012. Leon was born on April 4, 1954, in Appleton, to Rosemary (Dietzen) Probst and the late Alois Probst. Leon was a loving father and grandfather; he especially enjoyed the times he gave his grandson Liam rides on his tractor. He was an avid hunter and fisher and was well-known for his gardening abilities. Survivors include his daughters, Katrina (Sam) Pakala and Sarah Probst; his mother, Rosemary Probst; his grandchildren, Liam and Penelope Pakala; and his siblings, Roland Probst, Rita (Charles) Nelson, John (Debra) Probst, Maryann (Richard) Daczyk, Ellen (Brian) Starszak, Theresa Adrian and Joseph (Cathi) Probst. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and his granddaughter, Eleanor Pakala. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at HOLY NAME/HOLY SPIRIT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Friends may call at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOMEĀ—TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 S. Oneida Street, Menasha, on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.
