      VanLanen, Rose Marie


      Rose Marie VanLanen, 81, Kewaunee died Nov. 5, 2009, at the Kewaunee Care Center. She was born May 3, 1928, in De Pere, to the late Adam and Verna (Malouitzke) Fruzen.She married Henry (Hank) VanLanen Oct. 28, 1958, at St. Francis Church in De Pere. He preceded her in death May 16, 1994. She worked at St. Mary's Kewaunee Area Memorial Hospital as a cook for many years until retiring.

      Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sandy and Rick Riggle, California; Linda and John Heinen, Michigan; Jeanie Ann VanLanen, Kewaunee; one son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Alice VanLanen, Kewaunee; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Irene Baeten, De Pere; Florence and Sparky Theyssen, De Pere; Mary Ann and Gary Renard, Oregon; Betty Lou Deneys, Pulaski; and one sister-in-law, Bernice Fruzen, Mountain, Wis. She was preceded in death by one brother, Richard (Dick) Fruzen; three sisters, Ruthie Marciniak, Mildred Patterson and Theresa Ullman.

      A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at Grace Lutheran Church, N5789 Hy 29, Kewaunee with Rev. Howard Batt officiating.
