Larry D. Vander Wyst

Age 35, died at 3:49 am Thursday, November 19, 1987 as the result of cerebral aneurysm. Larry was born September 2, 1952 in Appleton and hed been a Kaukauna resident all of his life. Larry graudated from Kaukauna High School Class of 1970, attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and graduated from the Outagamie County Teacher's College. Larry was employed by Appleton Papers Lox Mill for 13 years where he was a chief of the Fire Brigade and was a Union Stewart. Larry was active in Boy Scouting all his life, having recieved numerous awards including being the first Eagle Scout from St. Aloysius Troup #104 and the Order of the Arrow. Larry was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, was active in the Kaukauna Meals on Wheels Program; and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
Larry is survived by his wife of 11 1/2 years, Ann (Knight) Vander Wyst, he was a loving father to his two children, Danielle and Travis both at home. He is further survived by his parents, Elmer and Mary Vander Wyst, Kaukauna; his brother, Frank Vander Wyst, Kaukauna; four sisters and three brothers in-law; Linda and Steve Lichtenwalner, Germantown, Wi.; Bonnie and Jeff Carriveau, Appleton; Edie Vander Wyst, Kaukauna; Ann and Jif Vetter, Milwaukee; his mother in-law; Rosella Knight, Appleton; and is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his father in-law; Edward Knight in 1978; a nephew, Christopher Santkuyl and a brother in-law; Edward 'Butch' Knight.
The complete concelebrated funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 1987 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on Main St., Kaukauna with Reverends John Hephner and Ronald Schneider officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home 537 N. Superior St., from 4-8 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday until the cortege leaves for the church. The prayer and scripture service will be at 7 p.m. Friday.
