- Hildebrand, Edna A. (Rominski) Appleton
Age 101, died at Appleton Medical Center on Sunday, January 5, 2003. She was born on November 18, 1901, in Butternut, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Gottfried and Elizabeth (Engel) Rominski. On March 23, 1919, she married Herman Hildebrand in Butternut. He preceded her in death in 1975. Edna was very proud of her family and took great care to provide for them. She was known for her mitten and afghan knitting and even sewed flour sacks into clothing for her family during the depression. Edna had a green thumb and really enjoyed gardening. Her entire family loved Edna and she will be greatly missed.
