    • Dorothy M. Reiser, 85, of N2705 Hayton Road, New Holstein, died on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, at her home in the Town of Charlestown, after an eight-year courageous battle with cancer.
      She was born on April 5, 1919, a daughter of the late John and Catherine Lauer Jacobs.

      On Oct. 18, 1938, she married Otto Reiser. She and her husband farmed on the Reiser Homestead in Charlestown until 1970.

      Dorothy was also employed over the years at Leverenz Shoe Company and the New Holstein Public School System until 1982. Dorothy was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church in Charlestown and its Christian Women's Society.

      Survivors include her husband, Otto Reiser at Calumet Homestead in New Holstein; four children, LeRoy (Kathy) Reiser of New Holstein, Kathy (Delmar) Nett of New Holstein, Bernice (Floyd) Biese of Chilton and Donald Reiser and fiancé Denise Fallier of New Holstein; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary (Norb) Euclide of Chilton; two sisters-in-law Gladys Jacobs of Kaukauna and Eleanor Jacobs of Chilton; and many nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mildred Zimmerman, Emily Gehl, Margaret Reuter and Rosie Jacobs; four brothers, Raymond, Walter, Hubert and Herman Jacobs; three brothers-in-law, Ed Zimmerman, Joseph Gehl and Carl Reuter; two sisters-in-law, Veronica and Verna Jacobs; and a great-granddaughter, Heidi Heus.

      • Services: Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at St. Martin Catholic Church in Charlestown with the Rev. Gary New officiating. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
