- Minnie C. Buchberger

Age 91, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 1991 at her home. She was born October 30, 1900 in Bessemer, Michigan, daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (VanBentum) Artz. On October 6, 1925 she married Clarence Buchberger in Mattoon, Wisconsin; he survives. Clarence and Minnie recently celebrated 66 wonderful years of marriage. Minnie's greatest joys in life came from spending time with her family, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Clarence, Appleton; two daughters: Dolores Buchberger and Marie (Fred) Rettler, both of Appleton; a son, Raymond (Yvonne) Buchberger, Darboy; six grandchildren: Steve (Sherry) Rettler, David (Cindy) Rettler, Thomas (Lynn) Rettler, Nancy (Jon) Torma, Jim (Cathy) Buchberger, Lynn (Gregg) Weber, Vicki Buchberger; seven great-grandchildren: Bradley, Erin, Hannah and Spender Rettler and Troy and Renae Torma. Minnie was preceded in death by an infant son, James; a sister, Mary; and five brothers: Henry, Ed, Joe, Charles and Emil. The Mass of Ressurection was held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 29, 1991 at St. Therese Catholic Church, corner of Wisconsin Ave. and Morrison St., Appleton with Father Daniel C. Gilsdorf officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call Friday directly at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of services. The Wichmann Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Appleton Community Hospice for their tender care and kind support. A special thank you to Rosemary Buelow, Amy Degenhardt, and Belinda Beschta for their loving care over the past weeks and months.
