Joseph W. Diedrick 'Joe' Seymour
Age 70, passed away on Friday, January 15, 1999, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 30, 1928, in the Town of Freedom, one of five children of Peter and Lucy [Coenen] Diedrick. He married Evelyn Schuh on August 3, 1949.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; four sons, Tom [Laura] Green Bay; Mike [Barb], Mesa, Arizona; Mark [Sue], Seymour; and Dale [Lori], Appleton; three daughters, Sandy [Roy] Kieffer, Combined Locks; Debbie Wagner, Freedom; and Julie [Ric] Greiner, Bedford, Kentucky; 15 grandchildren. Tammy [Bill] Weyers, Terry [Patti] Diedrick, Joey and Katrina Diedrick, Dean and Laurie Diedrick, Crystal and Derrick Diedrick, Loni, Kerri and Stacie Kieffer, Wendy Wagner, Kelly, Amanda and Chad Greiner; two great grandchildren, Brandon and Dylon Weyers; his sisters, Viola [Ed] VerVoort, Appleton; and Lorraine [Don] Uitenbroek, Freedomn; his sister in-law, Dolores Diedrick, Freedom; and many special friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his infant son, Joey Jr., his brother, Ernie, and sons in-law, Jerry Wagner and Lonnie Landwehr.
Joe was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Oneida. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Vissers Council 6464. Joe was a farmer for most of his life in the Town of Oneida and wasw also a dedicated employee at Thilmany Pulp and Paper for 40 years. In his spare time, Joe loved to invent items for his family and friends. He loved fishing, hunting, craft making, and playing cards. He was an avid football and baseball fan. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time wiht his family. He could never get enough hugs and kisses from family, especiall from the grandkids.
Friends may call at the Muehl-Bpettcjer Funeral Home, Seymour, from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, with parish prayer services at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Oneida, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Thomas officiating. Burial will be iin the parish cemetery.
