- Kaukauna - Joyful trumpets resound, Jesus Christ has brought home a very precious pearl. Thelma K. McMorrow, of Kaukauna, born July 30th, 1931 passed away peacefully at the age of 87 surrounded by her family on Monday, December 10, 2018. She was an exceptional mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and left behind her 6 children and their spouses, 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Thelma "Blondie" married the love of her life, James E. McMorrow, on July 16, 1955. Together they enjoyed 55 years of love, family and adventures.
Thelma is fondly remembered for her gardening, cooking and baking skills. She made the best homemade baked beans, apple pie, Irish stew, and toffee. She was strong but gentle, always put her family first and made everyone who visited feel special and welcome.
Thelma taught us the importance of faith, love, forgiveness and determination. Her house was always perfectly decorated but especially for Christmas. Her love for this holiday always made the season so much brighter. Her favorite songs were "The Church is One Foundation" and "Silent Night". Thelma was an active member at Holy Cross Church in Kaukauna.
She is survived by her 6 children and 15 grandchildren: Kathleen & Robert Voigt (Kevin & Kacey Voigt, Jennifer & Andy Kneisler, Sarah & Brad Korth), James & Bonnie McMorrow (Erin & Edgar Niebla, Emily & James Pyncheon), Richard & Susan McMorrow (Stacey, Amanda & Chris Nienow), Steven & Wendy McMorrow (Dana, Chelsea & Derek Schmidt, Katie & Jeremy Adler, Jenna & Martin Richardson), Ellen & Doug Rammer (Michelle, Laura & Brian Wanek), Dave & Vicki McMorrow (Ryan, Mitchell), 17 great grandchildren, and her sister Lila Denzer and sister-in-law Sally Bevers.
She was preceded in death by her husband James E. McMorrow, parents Kenneth & Bertha Enger, brother Lawrence & Arlene Enger and great grandchildren Jacob Korth and Alyson Kneisler.
A private prayer service will be held to honor Thelma's wishes. Thank you for your prayers and support. Mom, enjoy Christmas in heaven with Dad. You will be missed. "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13
