- De Pere - Carroll R. (Cotty) Willems, 91 of De Pere passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018. He was born on May 17, 1927 to the late Frank and Nora (Van Gemert) Willems. Carroll recieved a Bachelors Degree in Business and Accounting from St. Norbert College. On September 1, 1951 he married the love of his life E.Marie Zittlow daughter of the late Clarence and Eileen Zittlow, who preceded him in death on September 26, 2013. No husband was more dedicated and loving than Carroll was to his Marie. He was also proceeded in death by 12 siblings, his 2 infant daughters, his son-in-law Craig Forehand, his infant grandson Paul Forehand and granddaughter Beth Birr. Carroll is survived by his 9 children and families; Allen & Connie Willems, Two Rivers; Jim & Mary Michiels, Green Bay; Lois & Jonny McKinny, Florida; Steve & Kathy Willems, Marshfield; Theresa & Jon Arneson, Ashland; Lisa & Dan Gorr, Green Bay; Nora Morris & Al Calewarts, Green Bay; Wayne & Jenni Willems, Green Bay; Glen & Leslie Willems, De Pere; 22 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren. He also is survided by sister in-laws Dorthy May Willems and Linda DeKelver. After serving in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany durying WWII, Carroll pursued a career in accounting with Auto Dealers and Home Builders. He was a life long member of St. Francis Church, De Pere. Carrolls quick wit, sense of humor and grateful attitude will live on forever. His love for God, his wife and children will be his heritage, and his smile brought joy to all who knew him.
Friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Church 4805 Sportsman Dr. De Pere after 12:00PM Monday November 5, 2018. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00PM with Fr.
