      LaBorde, Helen C.

Helen LaBorde, 90, Kaukauna, passed away at St. Paul Home on Friday morning, May 29, 2009. Helen was born in Appleton on Aug. 19, 1918, daughter of the late Elmer and Elizabeth (Marbes) Anderson. On May 23, 1942, she married John LaBorde in Oneida. He preceded her in death. In her younger years, Helen enjoyed dancing and later learned to do excellent crochet work, was an outstanding cook and always enjoyed spending time up north at Crivitz. Everyone will miss her sharp wit and wonderful sense of humor.

Helen is survived by two daughters and two sons, Judy (John) Lambie, Kaukauna; Susan LaBorde, Kaukauna; Jean (Nancy) LaBorde, Crivitz; and Bob (Colleen) LaBorde, Seymour; 12 grandchildren, Timothy LaBorde, Todd LaBorde, Paula Sternitzky and her friend, Steve, Vicki (Dan) Lorge, Scott Lambie, Corry (Tisha) Lambie, Daniel (Debra) Van Dinter, Nicole Van Dinter and her friend, Jim, Amber LaBorde, Tyler LaBorde, Bryon (Tammy) LaBorde and Sean (Staci) LaBorde; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John; a son, James; a granddaughter, Kimberly Ann LaBorde; and a great-granddaughter, Kalsi Schaefer.

The funeral liturgy for Helen will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the hour of the services.

For the special staff of angels on earth at St. Paul Home, there are no words to express our admiration and gratitude. We wish we could name each of you individually. One so memorable comment I heard more than once was, "thank you for sharing your mom with us!" After spending the last five days with you, day and night, her children realize how much she was loved and cared for and we realize why she hesitated to leave. You were truly part of her family. Thank you and God bless each of you, especially the EverCare Nurses. We know her spirit will be with all of you, so keep the love and laughter flowing. Kudos to Tigger!

We love you Mom and are so honored and blessed to have been a part of you. You have been an inspiration to each of us and you will be in our hearts forever. Rest in the peace you so deserve. With love and respect, Jean, Judy, Bob, and Suz.
