    • Mary M. (Miller) Yaeger, age 45, of Seymour, passed away Tuesday morning, September 6, 2011 at home surrounded by family, after a truly valiant battle with stage IV kidney cancer. She was born on December 17, 1965, daughter of Ronald and Laverne (Lamers) Miller. On December 20, 1997 she was united in marriage to Bruce Yaeger at St. Mary's Church in Kaukauna.

Mary was a 1984 graduate of Kaukauna High School, and a 1989 graduate of U.W. Stevens Point, where she was a member of the women's basketball team which won the Division III NCAA Tournament. She was an 8th grade, Language Arts teacher at Seymour Middle School for 23 years. Mary enjoyed coaching and participating in volleyball, teaching, attending all of her children's activities, chocolate, Elvis, and "The Miller Food Appetite". Shopping at the mall, walking, running and being active was important to her, but most of all was time spent with her family at their recently acquired cottage on the Cloverleaf Lakes, especially sitting in the sun and being by the water, and sitting by a warm fire reading a good book.

Survivors include her husband, Bruce; her children: Makenzy, Nikolas, Casey, all at home; parents, Ronald and Laverne Miller, Kaukauna; sisters and brothers: Kim (Robert) Derks, Kaukauna; Randy (Bridget) Miller, Kaukauna; Gary (Lori) Miller, Hilbert; Sara (Ken) Eslinger, Little Chute; Karla (Bill) Flynn, Appleton; Sally (Joe) Jaskolski, Clintonville; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, David and Gerri Yaeger, Clintonville; Brother-in-law, Scott (fianc? Sherry) Yaeger, Clintonville; nieces and nephews and the family cat, Toby.

Bob Kabat officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established for Mary Yaeger's children's education fund.

A special thank you to Mary's sister Kim, a member of "Team Mary"(Mary, Bruce & Kim) who went to every appointment with her, the staff of the Seymour Community School District and the Seymour Community for all the compassion and care shown. Mom was a beautiful, amazing, entertaining, fun loving, strong, optimistic and positive person who was the best mother we could ever have. She always kept on going and taught us to keep our chin up and to "fight like a girl". We love you and you will be in our hearts forever.
