    • Leatrice June (Arps) Bowman, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 4. 2014. Leatrice was born on June 27, 1927 in Kaukauna to Henry J. and Olga K. Arps. She was united in marriage at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church on October 25, 1947 with John E. Bowman. John predeceased her on April 7, 2013.

      After their marriage Lea and John spent their married life in Kaukauna. She worked for AAL for 31 years retiring in 1987. She was a long time member of the Ladies Aid of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kaukauna. They enjoyed traveling the country visiting the locales where their children resided.

      Leatrice is survived by her children Dennis (Kathleen) Bowman, Susan (David) Mory; grandchildren Scott (Renee) Bowman, Paul Bowman, Samantha (Travis) Baer, Sydney Mory; great-grandchildren Aurora, Emma and Ethan Baer. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Bernice Arps, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

      Leatrice was preceded in death by her parents and her parents-in-law Charles and Anna Bowman, brothers Gilbert, Melvin (Anita), and Kenneth Arps; sisters, Mildred (Francis) Schmidt, Wilma Rausch, Beulah (Lyle) Jansch, Ruth (Woodrow and John) Alger Wier. By her husband's siblings, Swen (Clara) and Milton Bowman, Linda (Carl) Olson, Bertha (Everett) Udell and Evelyn Schroeder.

      The Christian funeral for Leatrice will be held on Wednesday, May 7th at 11 AM at TRINITY EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH on the corner of Tobacnoir and Grignon Streets in Kaukauna with the Rev. Timothy Wilkens officiating. Visitation will be at 9AM on Wednesday morning at the church and until the time of service. Leatrice will be entombed at Highland Memorial Park next to her beloved John. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.



      Leatrice's family would like to thank the Revs. Timothy Wilkens and Kurtis Mau for their spiritual care over these few months. We would also like to thank her caregivers, Amy, and the staffs of Parkside Care Center and the Appleton Retirement Community. They would also like to thank the staff of ThedaCare Hospice for the support and caring of Leatrice.
