Little Chute
age 70, died 11:30 p.m. Friday, July 4, 1986. He was born August 16, 1915, in Freedom. He had worked for the Villiage of Little Chute prior to his retirement. He was a member of the VFW Post 7692, Freedom, American Legion, Post 258, Little Chute, and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a stepdaughter and son in-law; Rose Ann and Jack Pomeroy, Kaukauna; three stepsons and a daughter in-law; Roger Diedrick, Menasha; Dennis Diedrick, Little Chute; Kenneth and Joyce Deidrick, Little Chute; a sister, Stella Schultz, Sturgeon Bay; four sisters in-law; Mrs. Burnetta Huss, Little Chute; Mrs. Neil Parker, Kaukauna; Mrs. Elsie Huss, Little Chute; a brother in-law; Howard Verbeten, Kaukauna; 14 stepgranchildren, and six step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, April 11, 1985; his parents, Michael and Mary Huss; two sisters; Christine Nelessen, and Mabel Verbeten; seven brothers; Ted, Nick, John, William, Joe, Elmet and Ray Huss.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 7, at St. John's Catholic Church, with Rev. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 6 until 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. Monday until the time of the service. There will be an American Legion visitation at 7 p.m. Sunday and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Military rites will immediately follow the mass.
