Notes - Menasha-Mrs. Catherine Resch, Second ward pioneer, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening, at 8 o'clock, at her home at 714 Tayco street, just a week before her 82nd birthday anniversary. She had been in poor, health for several years but was up and about her home when she suffered a sudden heart attack. Mrs. Resch was a native of Menasha. She was born here Nov. 7, 1855, and spent her entire life here. She was a member of St. Anne's society of St. Mary's parish.
Survivors are two daughters,
Mrs. Joseph Quella
and Miss Tena Resch;
one son,
Philip Resch;
one brother,
Thomas Schipferling, all of Menasha;
one sister,
Miss Christine Schipferling, Appleton;
26 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the residence followed by solemn requiem high mass at St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. The body will be at the residence until the hour of the funeral.
