      Kangas, Michael K. "Mike"
      Michael K. "Mike" Kangas, of Appleton, age 47, died unexpectedly on Wednesday March 4, 2009. Mike was born January 19, 1962, in Appleton, to Andrew "Bud" and Margaret "Marge" (Quella) Kangas. Mike is a graduate of Appleton West High School and UW-Stout. He worked for many years as a Computer Programmer. Mike was a loving father who devoted his life to his children.
      He will be sadly missed by his son, Mitchell Kangas, Oklahoma State University; two daughters: Amy and Mary Kangas of Stillwater, OK; his parents, Andrew "Bud" and Marge Kangas, Appleton; brother, Andy (Shari) Kangas, Green Bay; his sister, Bobbi (Tom) Emmers, Wilson, NC; brother, Joe (Karen) Kangas, Appleton; nieces and nephews: Scott, Brett, and Becky Emmers, and Jack Kangas. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
      He was preceded in death by his son Jake.
      A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 404 W. Lawrence St., Appleton, with Father Larry Abler officiating. Friends may visit directly at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
