- Janet Ann Sanders, 74, De Pere, Wisconsin, passed away at St. Vincent Hospice early Sunday morning, April 2nd, 2017. Janet was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Charles J. and Guinevere A. "Ma" Sanders on September 1st, 1942.
Janet had a tough life but met every challenge head-on with grace and dignity. She was an avid hockey fan (especially of the former Green Bay Bobcats), Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and a true blue Milwaukee Brewers fan. She especially enjoyed watching or listening to the Brewers games and did not appreciate being bothered while doing so. She would tell you about the games and discuss the players and stats whether you were a fan or not. She just assumed everyone knew which player she was talking about.
One of her passions was reading the newspaper from cover to cover. She could remember dates and events like no one else could. If you needed to know when someone's birthday was, you would ask Janet. She was like a walking encyclopedia.
Janet also loved spending time with her many nieces and nephews and would talk about them constantly. She was like a mother to them and she loved each and every one of them. They will miss her greatly.
Janet is survived by her siblings Mary Lampkin, Green Bay; Kathryn Pauze, De Pere; Richard (Elizabeth) Sanders, Fort Wayne, IN; Ralph (Lynn) Sanders, De Pere; James (Mary Kay) Sanders, De Pere; Joseph (Beth) Sanders, De Pere; and Robert (Catherine) Sanders, Fountain City, AZ; and her sister-in-law Sue Sanders, West Allis, WI. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and one aunt, Carroll Kallet of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Thomas Sanders, niece Deena VanCampenhout, nephew Timothy Sanders, and her brother-in-law John Lampkin.
Family and friends may visit at Ryan Funeral Home and Crematory, 305 N 10th Street, De Pere, WI on Saturday, April 8, 2017, beginning at 10:00 AM. A Prayer Service will take place at noon with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating.

The family would like to thank the staffs of St. Vincent Hospital and St. Vincent Unity Hospice for the kind and gentle care they gave to Janet during her illnesses and the staff of Santa Maria Nursing Home where she resided.
