- Doris A. Peotter, 79, Shawano, (formerly of Seymour) passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 20, 2005, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
She was born Nov. 25, 1925, in Stratford, Wis., the daughter of the late Jacob and Louise (Wagner) Meyer.
She was united in marriage to Claude A. Peotter on April 19, 1949, in Sturgeon Bay. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2002.
Doris and her husband owned and operated the Seymour Hotel for over 25 years. She enjoyed traveling, reading, sporting events and spending time with her grandchildren. Doris was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, two sons, Jon (Carol) Peotter, Waupaca; Michael Peotter, Green Bay; two daughters, Pam (Dan) Zak, Seymour; Paula (Lee) Solberg, Waupaca; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is further survived by one brother, Harold (Betty) Meyer; one brother-in-law, Glen (Nancy) Peotter; and her special friends, Joannie Johnson and Noreen Wenninger.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Fern and one brother, Norbert.
Friends may call at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, WI, on Tuesday, June 28, 2005, from 9 a.m. until the time of the services, at 11 a.m., with Reverend Sara Yotter officiating.
The burial will be at King, Wis.
In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy a memorial has been established in her name.
