      Armes, Lucille Dorothy
      Mrs. Lucille Dorothy Armes, 84, of Cookeville, Tennessee, formerly of Little Chute, passed away Saturday, September 20th, 2008, at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville. Mrs. Armes was born in Chicago, IL, on June 14, 1924, the daughter of the late Bernard Freriks and Johanna Freriks Paalman. She attended St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Cookeville. She was employed as a bookkeeper in the sporting good industry and performed volunteer work at an Appleton hospital. She dedicated life to her family and was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother.
      Mrs. Armes is survived by her daughters: JoAnn L. (Bradley) Nelson, Burlington; Kathleen M. (Rick) Dougherty, Austin, TX; son: Richard A. Armes. Cookeville, TN; granddaughters: Alisa M. Story and Autumn L. (Marvin) Evertse, all of Kenosha; grandson: Justin E. (Cris) Dougherty, Austin, TX.
      She was preceded in death by her husband James Edward Armes and her parents.
      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2008, at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, 101 Canal St., with Deacon Vincent DeGroot officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service.
