Notes - Eugene I. Halbach passed away on Dec. 14, 2013, at the age of 79. He was born on Jan. 30, 1934, in St. John, Wis., to Raymond and Mary (Marx) Halbach. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan D. Halbach; survived by his sons, Henry Halbach, Brad Halbach, Douglas Halbach, and Craig Halbach; daughters, Catherine Heasley, Linda Lalley and Michelle Burleson. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at St. Monica's Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
