    • John (Jack) W. Vincent, age 81, passed away on March 5, 2014, surrounded by his family. John served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. He retired from AT&T and was a City of Wauwatosa Alderman for eight years. John enjoyed reading, playing blackjack, traveling, fishing, and spending time at his Spectacle Lake cottage near Phelps, Wisconsin. John was a real people person who enjoyed family time. He was a member of Mensa and NAMI. John married Elmira (Ellie) Ehardt in 1994.

      John is survived by his wife, Ellie, of Appleton; son, Steve Vincent, of Madison; daughters, Linda (Alberto Herrera, Jr.) Vincent of Milwaukee, Susan (Peter) Coenen of Franklin, and Kathee (William) Phillipson of Milwaukee; step-daughter, Lynn (Bernie) Schuh, of Greenville; granddaughter, Elizabeth Coenen; step-grandchildren, Sarah and Brandon Schuh, Adam Merkel, and Riley Carnot; great-granddaughter, Ava Merkel; brothers, Robert (Nancy) Vincent, Thomas Vincent, and William (Vi) Vincent; sisters, Jean Vincent, Mary (Wilbur) Fields, Irene Champeau-Vincent, and Elaine (Tom) Meyer; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by Josie (Cops) Vincent; his parents, Leland Fenton and Irene (Tilly) Vincent; and step-daughter, Laurie (Jim Block) Carnot.

      A Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM on Saturday March 8, 2014 at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 N McDonald, Appleton, with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.

      The family appreciates the loving care provided by the Brewster Village staff. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Food Program (Menasha), public broadcasting, or a charity of your choice are appreciated.
