    • Funeral services for Math Jaeckels, 82, who died unexpectedly at his home here early Sunday morning, were held Wednesday at the Pfeffer Funeral home and at St. Mary’s church in this city. Father Joseph Bartelme officiated and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

      Born Sept. 2, 1864, the deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Jaeckels. He married Miss Anna Nilles at Charlesburg may 25, 1886, and the couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last May.

      Mr. Jaeckels, a railroad man for 50 years prior to his retirement in 1934, was a member of St. Joseph’s society of St. Mary’s church here and a member of the G.U.G. Germania, and a member of the Eagles lodge.

      Among the survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Vahldieck, Milwaukee; two sons, Jacob of Winneconne and John of New London; also seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Margaret Weeks preceded him in death.
