- Vincent J. Shippy, M.D., 88, Pulaski, died Monday at a Green Bay nursing home. Born Jan. 30, 1889 in Plover, Dr. Shippy lived in Stevens Point until entering Marquette Medical School. After graduation, he served his internship at St. Mary Hospital, Green Bay, and practiced medicine in Pulaski for over 60 years until his retirement five years ago. Dr. Shippy married the former Josephine Slupinski in Green Bay in 1925. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 337, Pulaski, and the Brown County, Wisconsin and National Medical Societies. Three brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.
Survivors are his wife; one son, Robert, Little Chute; one daughter, Mrs. George (Barbara) Brummitt, Dallas, Tex.; 11 grandchildren.
Friend may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, after 2 p.m. Thursday. Wake service 8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral 11 a.m. Friday at Assumption BVM Church, Pulaski, with the Rev. Vianney Sipulski officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
