- Virginia M. LaCount, "Ginna" , Menasha, age 74, passed away on Monday Octo ber 4, 2004 at her home with family by her side after a long battle with c ancer. Ginna was born January 9, 1930 in Appleton daughter of the late Jo hn and Lucille (Dressen) Schneider. She married Robert LaCount on May 1 6, 1976 and he survives her.
Ginna was a member of St. Mary's parish Menasha. She enjoyed reading, goi ng to Dixieland band concerts and she was an amateur artist. She also enjo yed full time RV traveling.
Ginna is survived by the children who she chose to treat as her own: Vik ki (David) Ivey, Chicago; Bruce (Sandra) LaCount, Appleton; Randal (Dolore s) LaCount, LaCrosse; Curt (Robin) LaCount, Portland,OR., Craig (Wendy) La Count, Oshkosh; Penny Sue (Jack) Hardy, Appleton; Carol (Pat) Matheny, Men asha; Jill (Michael) Rudolph, Des Moines, Iowa; Carin (Timm) Buechler, Men asha; Christina (Fritz) Ashley, Stevens Point; 32 grandchildren, 13 gre at grandchildren; two brothers; Jack (Adeline) Schneider, Appleton; Tom (B eatrice) Dorn, North Carolina; a sister, Marilyn Grant, Appleton, and ma ny nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her former husband Gerald Roberts.
Funeral services will be held on Friday October 8, 2004 11:30 a.m. at S t. Mary Catholic Church, Menasha, 212 Appleton Street, Menasha. Visitati on will be held on Thursday evening at Laemmrich Funeral Home 312 Milwauk ee St., Menasha from 5-8 p.m., and again at the church on Friday from 10: 30 until the time of the service. A memorial has been established for t he American Cancer Society.
The family would like to thank the staff at Oakridge Gardens especially Ca rol, and also Theda Care At Home Hospice especially Kathy and Gina.
