    • Delores "Dee" Hofacker, 80, Town of Center, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015, with her family by her side. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma (GG), sister, aunt, and a friend to so many. Dee was born on November 14, 1934, in Hollandtown to the late Edward and Margie (Carney) Van De Loo. She married John "Red" Hofacker on June 10, 1958. Red preceded her in death on February 2, 1984.

      She and her husband farmed in the Town of Center. She was an active member of St. Edward Catholic Church. Her love of her Savior Jesus Christ was very important to her and she devoted many hours to the church as a Christian Mother, Chairperson for funerals and a choir member. She also volunteered many hours at St. Edward School. She enjoyed traveling with her brothers and sisters, baking, her flower gardens and watching the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.

      Together they raised eight children: Kim (David) Calmes, Sue (Mark) VandenBerg, Joe (Lorrie), Mary (Michael) Fromm, Mike, Jackie (Donald) Murphy, John (Lynn), and Jim (Kim). She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren: Ryan (Jodi) Calmes, Greg (Jessica) Calmes, Tara (Tony) Hawley, Jenny Calmes, Matt VandenBerg, Becki (Jesse) Ashauer, Nikki VandenBerg, Nathan, Kyle (Ally), Justin and Stacy Hofacker, Madelyn and Marcus Fromm, John and Leah Murphy, Bob, Kayla, Mark and Melissa Hofacker, Michelle, Allison and Hayden Hofacker; nine great-grandchildren: Chase, Gramm, Paige, Ava and Reed Calmes, Eleanor Hawley, Annabelle, Gracelyn and Rosemary Ashauer; brothers, sisters and in-laws: Father Willard Van De Loo, Anna Mae (Lin) Pribek, Dorothy (Conrad) VanDeHey, Jerry (Marlene) Van De Loo, Betty (Dick) Eiting, Cliff (Jan) Van De Loo, Rich (Kay) Van De Loo, Pat (Ed) Marx (Ed deceased); sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Francis and Linda Hofacker (Francis deceased), William and Vera Hofacker (William deceased), Joe and Marilyn Hofacker (Joe and Marilyn deceased), Mary and Ed Hawley (Mary and Ed deceased), Ann Hofacker, Catherine and Howard Belonger (Catherine and Howard deceased); Henry and Geraldine Hofacker (Henry deceased), Nick and Cheryl Hofacker (Nick deceased), Margaret and Bob Parker (Margaret and Bob deceased), Paul and Mary Ellen Hofacker, Tony and Roseanne Hofacker. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins all of which were special to her.

      In addition to family members mentioned, Delores is preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Ruth Hofacker; and other family members.

      Friends may call at St. Edward Catholic Church, Mackville, on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, from 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. and the visitation will continue on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Willard Van De Loo, Fr. Walter Stumpf, Fr. Ricardo Basquinez officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com
