- Janice M. Wichman, 73, Mountain, passed away at home with her family by her side on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Janice was born on Nov. 18, 1939, to the late Herbert and Dolores (Hurst) Blohm. Janice Blohm married Glen Wichman on Feb. 23, 1957, in Seymour. She retired from Lakewood Super Valu after 13 years of employment. Janice enjoyed watching and feeding birds, deer, and other wildlife. She loved cooking for her family.
Janice is survived by her loving husband, Glen, Mountain; two sons, Kent (Sharon) Wichman, Clintonville; Todd (Janell) Wichman, Mountain; her daughter, Penny (Jim) Berg, Lakewood; four brothers, Melvin, Leroy, Donnie, David; three sisters, Carol, Lois, Joanne; six grandchildren, Steven (Toni), Jason, Dana, Bobby Jo (Justin), Alyssa, Bethany; three great-grandchildren, KayLee, Juliana and Jensen.
Janice was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Weber.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Tabor Lutheran Church in Mountain, from 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 3 p.m. with Pastor Paul Scheunemann officiating.
