      Sturm, Theodore C. "Teddy"


      Theodore C. Sturm "Teddy," 82, Appleton, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family Friday, Sept. 4, 2009. He was born Sept. 15, 1926, in Appleton, to the late George and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Sturm. Ted served in the United States Army during World War II. Ted married Frances Mott on Sept. 13, 1952, and she preceded him in death in 1990. He owned and operated Sturm Body Shop for 50 years. Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping with the big blue bus, golfing and bowling.

      Survivors include his children, Loretta Rector (friend, David King); Michael (Sherry) Sturm; Charles Sturm, Paul (Ginny) Sturm; John (Sara) Sturm, Robert Sturm (friend, Tarah Swope); Donna (Robert) Eggert and Edward Sturm; grandchildren: Amber (Shane) Bahr, Seth Rector, Michelle (Randy) Price, Ali (Adam) Hendries, Kari Sturm, Kyle and Ashley Eggert; Isabella, Justice, Jaitlyn and Raqel Swope; great grandchildren: Caleb, Aubree, Hunter, Dylan, Carter, Keaira and Kendra; brothers and sisters: Bernice Randerson, Rita Pritzl, Helen Wittman, Elaine Kurey, Patty (Glen) Griesbach, George (Mary) Sturm, Al (Marilyn) Sturm and Cy Sturm; brother-in-law Leon Ulman. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, his dear friend Joyce Lecker and numerous other friends. The Sturm family has truly been blessed with the dearest friends and neighbors for over 40 years, Conrad and Rose Schadler.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances; children, Mary and Tom; sister Lorraine Ulman; brothers-in-law, Rich Pritzl, Shorty Wittman, Leroy Kurey, Cliff Ulman and Jerry Randerson.

      A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:30 am Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Appleton with Rev. Thomas Farrell officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton with Military Honors. Friends may visit the family Tuesday from 4 to 7:30 pm with a prayer service at 7:30 pm all at the church. Wednesday there will also be visitation at the church from 10 am until the time of Mass.
