    • Richard J. "Dick" Borree, age 83, died peacefully on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the St. Paul Home in Kaukauna, WI, where he had been a resident for the past 3-1/2 years. Dick was born on May 16, 1933, to the late Erwin and Martha (Verkuilen) Borree. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served his country for four years during a portion of the Korean War. On June 10, 1954, Dick married the love of his life, Roslyn "Rosie" Kamps; they would have shared 63 years of marriage in June. While raising their family, Dick and Rosie lived in Kaukauna and Dundas; after retiring from Thilmany Pulp and Paper, he and Rosie moved to Elcho, WI and enjoyed many years there with new friends while living at their cottage on Waterpower Lake. Dick lived a very full life. He was involved in many civic organizations, including serving on the town board of Woodville while living in Dundas. An avid sports fan, Dick was a loyal follower of the Chicago Cubs and "Da Bears". Dick passed his love of hunting, fishing and country music on to his children, his grandchildren and his nieces and nephews - "Ring of Fire" will always bring a smile to the faces of his family. He loved his family and friends immeasurably and held a special place in his heart for Bill VanDeLoo.

Dick is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Roslyn "Rosie", Kaukauna, WI; their children: Julia (James) George, Appleton, WI, Barbara (Michael) Vande Burgt, Brillion, WI, William Borree and special friend Josie Daugherty, Guam, Philippines, and Karl (Lynnette) Borree, Houghton, MI; 9 grandchildren: Benjamin (Angela) George, Jessica (Michael) Jacobs, Julia (Jon) Miller, John (Ashley) Vande Burgt, Joseph Vande Burgt and special friend Mikaela Johnson, Maxwell Borree, Bailey Borree, Jackson Borree and Chloe Borree. He was also a proud Great Grandpa to Owen and Henry Jacobs, to Madeline, Mason and Jackson Miller, to Weston and Rowen Vande Burgt, to Baby George and to Baby Vande Burgt (both on the way). Dick is survived by his brother John (Betty) Borree, Kaukauna, WI, and his sister Judy Borree, Mt. Horeb, WI and by numerous loving nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his wife's family: Bonnie Kamps and Richard and Gretchen Kamps. Dick was preceded in death by 2 sisters and brothers-in-law: Yvonne (Richard) Landwehr and Margaret Ann (Donald) Kilgas. He is further preceded in death by his wife's family: John (Marie) Kamps, Robert Kamps and Judy (Kamps) Blanchette.

Funeral services for Dick will be at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017 at St. Katherine Drexel Parish at ST. FRANCIS CHURCH, Hollandtown, WI, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends may call directly at church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery, at a later date due to weather. Full military rites will be held at the grave at the time of burial. The Patriot Guard will also be in attendance. Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna, WI, is assisting the family.
